MANAGEMENT
INMOTION MANAGEMENT has been in business for over 18 years. We strive to bring our clients the best jobs and the best services. People often ask what the difference is between a manager and an agent. Most managers have a handful of talent that they develop and create a career for. Agents handle many more clients and are not so much involved in the creation of image, skills and long term goals, as they have so many more people to deal with.
Inmotion Management takes a hands on approach with each client. We help them develop their skills, select the right pictures, create resumes, get online to be submitted and most of all navigate the pitfalls in Hollywood. We also work on an image for the actor and discuss where they are most suited in the vast array of genres available. We take time to call casting directors and push our clients harder than perhaps a busy agent would.
Managers usually take 15% from the gross pay of an actor. Agents take 10%. But as we mentioned above, managers have far fewer clients and are more hands on, therefore the higher percentage is a necessity so we can have the ability to spend more time with clients.
Inmotion Management works very much like an agent in the way that we are submitting our actors for roles, as would an agent. In fact, Inmotion Management can take sole credit for many of the films, television shows and commercials that our clients have worked on. We submit our clients every day for roles that they are right for and follow up with phone calls for auditions. We also offer our clients rehearsal time for any roles they need help with. In other words, we are a full service management company with our clients best interests at heart.
Many people believe that you only need a manager once you have high visibility in Hollywood. Nothing could be further from the truth. When you are first starting out, you need as many people as possible to help you get noticed, get auditions and fight for you. It's very easy to be forgotten by a busy agent if you don't book a job in the first few months. A manager will continue submitting and working on getting you out there. As long as the actor is focused, working hard at his craft and has the patience to walk that long road to fame, so will your manager.
INMOTION MANAGEMENT is always looking for exciting new talent to represent. So please feel free to submit your headshots and resumes. We prefer union talent if you are over 18 but will look at non union if you have the skills we are looking for.

INMOTION MANAGEMENT works hard to bring information on scams and rip offs to anyone who asks. If you know of solicitations by unscrupulous people that stop you on the street, or 'discover' you at the mall, let your friends and others know. Pass the word that no one who is legitimate stops a person for representation, calls you on the phone or sends you an 'audition' time in the mail, unless they have something to sell. High priced pictures, portfolios, classes and such aren't necessary. Many of the franchised 'acting/modeling' schools are very overpriced. Stop, listen and don't sign that contract with your credit card in the other hand unless you are looking for a way to throw your money away. There are dozens of reputable coaches, photographers etc., that don't charge you an arm and a leg t get started in showbiz.
