Who are we?

The Hollywood Connection was formed three years ago when top Hollywood Manager and owner, Jill Donnellan, realized the sheer amount of untapped talent in areas other than Hollywood. Wanting to meet and evaluate this fresh talent pool, she set up intensive Acting Workshops all over the world and has since been the “Hollywood Connection” for out-of-town actors who need representation. Working side by side with Talent Agencies from Seattle to Florida, Australia to Bermuda, Jill has become the ‘link’ to Hollywood.

What can you do for out of town actors?

Inmotion Management, the core of the Hollywood Connection, keeps files of selected talent from each country and U.S. state and submits them for pilots, films and television appearances. We make sure that all talent under our Management Company are considered for roles especially when films or television shows are shooting in their country or state. In other words, we keep you in the loop. Many out of towners are hired because they are ‘local hire’. We make sure you are submitted for these parts.

How do you select your talent?

Jill chooses to do an intensive Acting Workshop, set up in each city, to see the true ability behind an actor. Prepared monologues, rehearsed scenes are not part of her selection process. “Anyone can become good if they prepare a piece long enough. I want to see the raw, on the spot ability that comes from cold readings, improvisation ability and personal interviews.” We select talent based on their natural ability, their professional ability and their unwavering faith in themselves.

What is involved in the “Intensive Acting Workshop”?

This usually consists of a weekend workshop. Saturday is designed for Adults 16 and over and Sunday for children 6 - 15. We cover Improvisations, Cold Reading of a scene (drama or comedy), Commercial audition techniques and finally a personal interview. The Scene and Commercial is done on camera and reviewed. How do I sign up?
